Sterling Silver

Sterling Silver is a naturally tarnishing metal however with proper maintenance, your silver will be polished and shiny for years to come.  Store your silver jewellery in a safe, dry place (original packaging or a soft pouch with an anti-tarnish strip if you have).  Wipe them with a soft, dry cloth or a silver polishing cloth.  Regular cleaning with a cloth will prolong the development of tarnishing.  You can use an ultrasonic cleaner if you have one.

Gold Vermeil

Although vermeil plating has a thick layer of gold plating on top of silver, it will still naturally tarnish over time, especially when exposed to chemicals or other environmental factors such as moisture and air pollution.  Always store your gold vermeil jewellery in a safe, dry place (original packaging or a soft pouch with an anti-tarnish strip if you have). Avoid exposure to perfume or perfumed products. Wipe them with a soft, dry, untreated cloth.  Do not put in a jewellery cleaner.  Regular cleaning with a cloth will prolong the development of tarnishing.
